Qualifications

• Earned bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Graduate program enrollment full-time in spring term or scheduled to graduate in spring.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate daily with subject matter experts in computational solid mechanics, structural dynamics, shock physics, and environments engineering.
• Develop and implement computational capabilities for production finite element analysis codes.
• Apply production finite element analysis to simulate complex structures in extreme environments.
• Apply data processing and statistical methods to investigate mechanical loads and environments.
• Partner with experimentalists to calibrate and validate simulations.
