Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking an experienced Ramp Supervisor to oversee the loading and unloading of luggage, freight, and cargo on commercial aircraft. The role also involves operating small specialized vehicles and heavy lifting as part of daily duties.

You will guide ramp agents, ensure safety standards, and mentor staff while coordinating shifts, documenting time, and assisting with performance reviews. This position requires flexibility for weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Prior Ramp/Airline experience required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing.
• Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
• Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively.
• Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal.
• To report any significant deficiency in our products, materials and documents.
• Has a duty to suggest any improvements to working practices, especially those relating to Safety and security.
• Must have read and signed the Station Quality Manual, Emergency Response Procedures Manual and the Station Security Manual.
• Must have high school diploma, GED.

Responsibilities

• Supervise ramp agents; allocate ramp resources as needed.
• Move cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and between aircraft and terminals.
• Ensure ramp staff follow safety regulations.
• Mentor and train new employees.
• Interview, hire, and train employees; evaluate performance and handle disciplinary actions.
• Complete shift reports and sign timecards.
• Assist in performance evaluations and disciplinary reporting.
• Assist in baggage handling area.
• Conduct shift briefings for organization and information.
• Read and interpret aircraft loading instructions and manifests.
• Operate motorized equipment.
