Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Ramp Supervisor to direct ramp agents during loading and unloading of baggage, freight, and cargo on commercial aircraft. You will supervise lead agents, ensure safety regulations, read loading manifests, and coordinate with ground support equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Pass all pre-employment testing including a drug test.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Capable of lifting comfortably 70 lbs.
• At least one year of ramp experience preferred.
• Able to complete Training successfully.
• Available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lead agents; allocate ramp agent resources as needed.
• Complete shift reports and clear all exceptions from T&A system in a timely manner.
• Ensure ramp personnel adhere to safety regulations.
• Read and interpret weight and balance loading instructions, HMIs, manifests, and routing tags.
• Assist in baggage handling area.
• Occasionally operate ground support equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
