Job summary

SkyChefs in Dallas, TX is seeking a Ramp Safety Clerk to monitor driver SOP compliance, maintain driver files and support safety procedures on an on-site shift 4am–12:30pm with Wed-Sun or Thu-Mon schedules.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, ability to obtain Airport SIDA badge within 30 days, 3–5 years of safety experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong analytical, written and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire.
• 3-5 years of safety experience preferred; AOA ramp experience may be substituted year for year for Safety experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups – must be flexible.
• Open availability, ability to work nights and weekends as operations require.
• Usual shift will be 4am - 12:30pm and schedule will be either Wed-Sun or Thurs-Mon

Responsibilities

• Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
• Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
• Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications
• Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance ID’s for trucks are current
• Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
• Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other clerical duties as assigned

Role Purpose Statement
