Job summary

Stantec seeks a Railway Engineer in the Baltimore area to support planning and design of rail projects for transit, freight, and passenger clients. You’ll work with a multi-disciplinary team on design packages from concept to issued-for-bid, with mentorship from senior engineers.

Required: PE license, bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and 5+ years railway experience; MicroStation, InRoads, and OpenRail skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of railway engineering and design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required and eligibility to be licensed in other states.

Responsibilities

• Perform varied engineering design tasks under supervision, including drawings, reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Develop designs through sketches, schematics, 3D models, diagrams, and other visuals.
• Prepare and revise design documentation such as site plans, profiles, and details.
