Job summary

STV Incorporated's Transit/Transportation team is seeking a Rail/Civil Engineering Specialist to join our highly skilled Transportation group in Los Angeles. You will focus on design and production of planning and construction bid documents, working under experienced engineers to learn rail design fundamentals.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, knowledge of MicroStation/OpenRoads/OpenRail and AutoCAD Civil 3D, and a strong desire to collaborate with clients and stakeholders on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• EIT certification preferred but not required.
• Fundamentals in civil transportation engineering.
• Experience with civil design drafting software.

Responsibilities

• Use MicroStation and AutoCAD to design rail alignments, drainage, grading, and guideway elements.
• Participate in planning, design, and construction projects.
• Assist in developing construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Participate in client and stakeholder meetings and develop meeting content.
• Assist in developing technical design reports, calculations, and memos.
