Job summary

Knife River Corporation is seeking a railroad track laborer responsible for general track repairs, new construction, and related railroad tasks. Schedule typically runs Monday–Friday with varying hours by season; occasional overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities include using a range of tools safely, assisting teammates, maintaining clean work areas, and adhering to FRA requirements and safety policies. Must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid FRA qualification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Driver's license preferred.
• Must qualify as valid worker under FRA standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow direction and accomplish tasks within time standards with minimal supervision.
• Use pneumatic and hydraulic tools, grinders, jacks, cutting torches, hand tools and drills safely.
• Assist team members with completing tasks as needed.
• Maintain good housekeeping of machines and work area.
• Learn and apply safety and on-the-job training.
• Learn and apply FRA and company requirements.
• Interact professionally with crew and management in a team environment.
• Comply with all safety policies.
• Ensure Track Machines are kept in good condition.
