R. J. Corman Railroad Services is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Atlanta, GA.

The role involves transporting, operating, and servicing heavy equipment for railroad derailment clearance, with on-call travel to job sites across the region. Ideal candidates hold a CDL-A with medical card and endorsement, understand DOT regulations, and can operate Sidebooms, Track Loaders, Excavators, and other heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in railroad environments.
• Ability to pass background, drug screen, and physical capacity tests.
• Valid CDL-A with manual endorsement and DOT medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Transport, operate, and service heavy equipment used in clearing railroad derailments.
• Handle heavy steel chains, blocks, steel cables, and other devices.
• Practice safe working habits and ensure PPE usage.
• Safely drive, operate, and maintain CDL-A vehicles and equipment.
• Perform maintenance, cleaning, and setup of equipment with tools.
