Job summary

WisDOT's Northeast Region in Green Bay is seeking a Transportation Technician Railroad Intern to help inventory and document highway-railroad crossings, providing guidance to staff under limited supervision. The role offers a hybrid schedule with a minimum two days per week in the Green Bay office and telework within Wisconsin.

It is a part-time internship during the school year, with possible full-time work in summer.

Qualifications

• Experience with and ability to follow technical instructions.
• Experience providing administrative support (such as emailing, researching, document management, etc.).
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) or a similar software.

Responsibilities

• Document the highway‑railroad inventory by working with the RRC to field inventory in the Railroad Crossing Inventory (RCIS) database.
• Assist RRC with coordinating and guiding activities to ensure the project development process addresses highway‑railroad coordination.
