National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) seeks a Contractor in Charge (CIC) in Lubbock, TX, to oversee construction, maintenance, and safety compliance for freight railroads and transit systems.

The CIC will lead safety programs, perform job briefings, and ensure FRA 49 CFR 214 compliance while coordinating with rail crews and dispatchers. Travel will be extensive, with frequent field deployments.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years experience in railroad maintenance or TY&E preferred.
• Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability for long-term travel assignments, including multi-month deployments.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee worksite safety and flagging services as needed.
• Ensure compliance with FRA regulations (49 CFR 214) during track operations.
• Monitor track conditions and approaching trains to keep personnel safely clear.
• Coordinate train movements with dispatchers, engineers and supervisors.
• Document all activities, including briefings, incidents, and logs.
