Watco is hiring for a Conductor/Engineer to control and coordinate train movements, switching railcars in yards or facilities to support customer service. The role is a manual labor position with a prescribed training period and on-the-job instruction.

Starting pay is $26.00 per hour. You will learn switching procedures, safety rules, and locomotive operation under supervision, with opportunities for development through Watco University and related programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass training and required testing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate train movements and switch railcars in yards or facilities.
• Read switching orders and follow signals to operate locomotives safely.
• Communicate switching information via radio and maintain records of cars moved.
• Inspect equipment and assist with switching operations as needed.
• Maintain safety, time schedules, and compliance with railroad rules.
