Job summary

VIVA Railings in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Product Design & Development Engineer to transform railing and panel concepts into manufacturable, code-compliant products. You'll model in SolidWorks, create drawings, and build BIM content to support quoting, fabrication, and specification in IBC, ADA, and ASTM contexts.

You'll spend about a quarter on product quality, investigate non-conformances, perform design fixes, and work with New Product Development to implement corrective actions while

Qualifications

• Hands-on product design experience in manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks for parts, assemblies, weldments, and detailing.
• Ability to read architectural/structural drawings and ASME Y14.5 standards.

Responsibilities

• Model and detail new products and extensions in SolidWorks.
• Produce complete 2D detail and fabrication drawings and BOMs.
• Develop BIM content and Revit families for projects.
• Support design for manufacturability and installation within in-house capabilities.
• Assist with non-conformance investigations and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Project Management.
• Travel to project sites occasionally as needed.
