Job summary

voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak in Birmingham, Alabama, seeks a Designer – Engineering to produce manufacturing and customer drawings with BOMs using MicroStation, SolidWorks, NX and SAP. You will work under the supervision of senior staff to ensure designs meet industry standards and customer specifications.

Reporting to the Engineering Project Lead, you will support safety and quality, collaborate with Manufacturing, and ensure timely delivery by updating drawings and documentation as

Qualifications

• Highly accurate design and drafting skills required.
• Ability to interpret customer specifications and company standards.
• Strong collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce manufacturing and customer drawings with BOMs using CAD/CAM tools.
• Ensure designs meet safety and quality standards and are manufacturable.
• Update and revise drawings and BOMs as needed; check own work before formal review.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing to address manufacturability issues and lead times.
