Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, seeks a Product Development Engineer to design and develop components for guardrail, fencing, decking and related systems at our Bulls Gap, TN or Brooksville, FL plants. You will collaborate with marketing, sales, and manufacturing to move designs from invention to production.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 3+ years of experience, and strong SolidWorks and analytical skills. Onsite work with cross-functional coordination is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of product development or engineering experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks.
• Proven project management and organizational skills.
• Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Eagerness to learn all aspects of product development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop components for guardrail, fencing, decking and related systems.
• Support manufacturing by addressing BOMs, drawings, design issues and product changes.
• Create test plans and coordinate in-house R&D testing.
• Collaborate with the execution engineer to provide component data to vendors.
• Create product specs, drawings, and quality criteria.
• Create 3D renderings for marketing and samples.
• Implement product engineering changes with the execution engineer.
• Coordinate with QA to resolve technical questions and warranty issues.
• Work with third-party engineers and inspectors for test data and calculations.
• Maintain product design schedules and assist product managers with launch details.
• Use a 3D printer to produce parts for review.
