Qualifications

• Prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Use precision measuring equipment (ruler, etc.).
• Work and communicate in a team setting.
• Operate welding, cutting, gouging, inspecting and testing equipment.
• Experience with welding: burning, air arc, grinding.
• Valid Driver’s License required for Modesto, CA.

Responsibilities

• Complies with AA Railroad regulations, quality standards and Greenbrier EH&S policies.
• Performs tasks under supervision; communicates material/equipment needs.
• Performs refurbishing/repairs to rail car components using welders, grinders, torches.
• Performs minor repairs to tools and equipment.
• Collaborates with Supervisor and teammates; assists training.
• Follows AA Railroad repair procedures; maintains knowledge.
• Sets up and operates metal-working tools for the process.
• Follows special processes based on work orders.
