Job summary

R. J. Corman Railroad Group, LLC in Dayton, TX is seeking a Railcar Repair Team Member to perform mechanical repairs, including welding and cutting, and to document inspections for accuracy and timeliness.

Ideal candidates have railcar mechanical experience, a valid driver's license, and strong communication and teamwork. You will ensure paperwork is complete, keep shops and vehicles safe, and assist with repairs as needed in a fast-paced rail environment.

Qualifications

• Railcar mechanical experience preferred and welding/cutting background.
• Must have a valid driver's license and good communication skills.
• Ability to develop teamwork and work with all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Welding, cutting, and mechanical type repairs
• Forklift operation
• Documenting work performed and recording material usage
• Ensure that paperwork for railcar repairs is complete and correct
• Ensure that repair jobs are completed in a timely manner
• Ensure that vehicles and shops kept clean and safe
• Ensure that the employees are working in a safe manner
• Assist with inspection and repairs as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned by management
