Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as Carman or Railcar Repair Technician desirable.
• Ability to read safety rules and blueprints.
• Must be able to perform outdoors in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform railcar repairs per FRA/AAR rules.
• Conduct pre- and post-inspection of railcars.
• Follow safety protocols and OSHA rules.
• Maintain clean, organized work area per regulations.
• Operate hand and power tools including welding equipment.
• Disassemble damaged railcars as needed.
• Meet AWS D15.1 welding requirements.
• Complete training to operate equipment like forklift or crane.
