Job summary

Guardian Rail, LLC is seeking Repair Technicians to inspect and repair railcars and tank cars using welding and mechanical skills in year-round outdoor conditions. You will perform pre- and post-inspections, comply with FRA and AAR rules, and work as part of a team to ensure safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have welding experience, can read safety rules and blueprints, and can operate hand and power tools, cutting torches, and welding equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Welding experience required; AWS/E7018 preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules, maintenance instructions, and blueprints.
• Must pass fitness, pre-employment physical, and drug/alcohol screenings.

Responsibilities

• Repair railcars to FRA and AAR standards.
• Perform pre- and post-inspections of railcars.
• Follow safety protocols and quality programs.
• Operate hand and power tools, including welding equipment.
• Disassemble and repair railcars as needed.
