Guardian Rail, LLC in Albany, Oregon, is seeking a skilled Repair Technician to inspect and repair railcars and tank cars in a year-round outdoor setting. You will perform mechanical repairs, conduct pre/post inspections, and ensure compliance with FRA and AAR rules, using welding and grinding processes as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, familiarity with reading safety docs and blueprints, and the ability to work safely in a team.

Formación

• High-school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience as a Carman or Railcar Repair Technician highly desirable.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and blueprints.
• Must possess basic math skills and work and understand simple mathematical concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Perform railcar repairs in compliance with FRA and AAR interchange rules.
• Conduct pre and post inspection of all assigned railcars.
• Comply with all safety protocols including in-house and OSHA rules and procedures.
• Keep work area clean and orderly to comply with Guardian Rail, OSHA, and environmental rules.
• Follow written and verbal directions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Set up and operate hand and power tools, welding equipment, and cutting torches as required.
