Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as Carman or Railcar Repair Technician desirable.
• Must read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform railcar repairs in compliance with FRA and AAR interchange rules.
• Conduct pre- and post-inspections of all assigned railcars.
• Operate hand and power tools, welding equipment, and related machinery.
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental protocols at all times.
• Assist in disassembly and repair of damaged railcars.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and document training when required.
