Job summary

Transco Railway Products, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Repair Technician to support welding and repair tasks in a TEAM environment. You will assist more experienced welders and perform basic repairs to rail car components.

This position operates on the Third Shift (Mon-Fri, 10:00pm–6:30am) with some Saturdays; wage is $28.50 per hour. The role offers on-the-job training and opportunities to grow within a national manufacturing group.

Qualifications

• Read specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Willing to learn air brake testing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with proper technique.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to work in a teamwork environment with regular attendance.
• Must pass drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Assist more experienced welders with cutting and welding operations.
• Align and weld components of metal tools and fixtures.
• Learn the trade from experienced coworkers in a team setting.
