Job summary

R. J. Corman Railroad Group is seeking a Railcar Repair Team Member to work on-site in Dayton, TX. You will perform welding, cutting, and general mechanical repairs on railcars, ensuring work is accurate and completed on time.

Responsibilities include operating a forklift, documenting work, and maintaining clean, safe work areas. Strong teamwork, communication, and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel are essential.

Qualifications

• Railcar mechanical experience preferred.
• Background in welding and cutting.
• Valid driver's license.
• Good communication and people skills.
• Ability to develop teamwork and work with all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Welding, cutting, and mechanical type repairs.
• Operate forklift.
• Document work performed and record material usage.
• Ensure that paperwork for railcar repairs is complete and correct.
• Ensure that repair jobs are completed in a timely manner.
• Keep vehicles and shops clean and safe.
• Maintain safe work practices.
• Assist with inspection and repairs as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
