Road & Rail Services in Greensburg, Indiana is hiring Railcar Prep Technicians for a full-time outdoor railroad position. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour, with a potential weekly incentive to reach $19.00 per hour when safety requirements are met.

Prior railroad experience is not required; they welcome reliable, safety-minded individuals ready to learn the industry. You will inspect railcars, prepare interiors, remove debris, and assist with doors and daily rail operations while following safety

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect railcars for damage, debris, wear, and potential safety concerns.
• Prepare railcar interiors for vehicle loading.
• Use backpack blowers, scrapers, and approved tools to remove debris.
• Assist with opening, securing, and closing railcar end doors.
• Identify and report conditions that may require repair.
• Inspect tools and equipment before beginning work.
• Maintain company-issued tools and equipment.
• Keep railcars and surrounding work areas clean and organized.
• Follow railroad, customer, and company safety procedures.
• Wear required PPE and maintain situational awareness around rail equipment.
