Road & Rail Services is hiring a Railcar Preparation Technician for the Georgetown, Kentucky operation. This entry-level role involves inspecting and cleaning railcars to ensure readiness for vehicle loading and transport, using backpack blowers, scrapers, and hand tools.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor outside in varying weather.
• Willingness to work outdoors year-round and on-site.
• No railroad experience required; hands-on training provided.
• Follow safety instructions and maintain a safety-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect railcars for debris, dirt, contaminants, and damage.
• Clean railcar interiors using backpack blowers, scrapers and hand tools.
• Prepare railcars for safe loading and transportation of vehicles.
• Remove materials that could damage vehicles.
• Open, inspect, and secure railcar doors as assigned.
• Climb ladders and work at heights up to 20 feet.
• Inspect and maintain tools and equipment; perform general housekeeping.
