Job summary

Road & Rail Services in Greer, SC is hiring Railcar Preppers to prepare railcars for vehicle transport across the country. This full-time role starts at $18.50/hr with a 5:30 AM start time and uses physical labor in outdoor conditions.

You will inspect cars, open/secure doors, remove debris, prep for loading, report repairs, and follow safety standards in a fast-paced industrial environment. Valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance are required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Comfortable with physical labor, including climbing, bending, stooping, lifting, and walking/standing.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to quality work.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting railcars for damage, defects, and safety concerns.
• Opening and securing railcar doors and equipment.
• Removing debris using backpack blowers and hand tools.
• Preparing railcars for loading and transport.
• Identifying repair needs and reporting issues.
• Safely operating tools and equipment.
• Following all company, customer, and industry safety standards.
