Job summary

Iron Horse is seeking a dependable Railcar Coatings Applicator to join our Beaumont, TX operation. You will prepare railcar surfaces, apply primer and paint, and ensure proper masking and surface protection.

This full-time, day-shift role starts at 6:00 AM and offers a stable schedule and growth opportunities. Ideal candidates bring hands-on painting or general labor experience, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred; physical labor experience beneficial.
Experience with brush and roller painting is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in industrial environments.
Willingness to learn surface preparation and painting techniques.

Responsibilities

Prepare railcar surfaces for painting by sanding, scraping, cleaning, and removing old paint, rust, dirt, and other contaminants.
Perform touch-up painting using brushes and rollers.
Apply primer and paint to railcars and railcar components as directed.
Mask and protect areas that do not require painting.
Follow work orders and instructions to ensure work is completed properly and on schedule.
