Job summary

Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings backed by Berkshire Hathaway, seeks a Railcar Technician to repair and maintain tank cars while leading a team with a safety-first mindset.

You will perform inspections, meet customer expectations, handle invoicing and work orders, and maintain required certifications to ensure quality and compliance across a broad North American network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
• Welding background is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and team skills; safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Railcar Repair – perform inspections and repairs per current procedures.
• Customer Support – meet customer expectations and requirements.
• Clerical – ensure invoicing and work orders are complete.
• Maintain certifications and familiarity with AAR rules.
• Other tasks as assigned.
