Job summary

Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a Railcar Repair Technician to perform inspections and repairs on tank cars. This role requires leadership, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work as part of a crew in a fast-paced environment.

You will follow current repair procedures, maintain certifications, and support customers while handling invoicing and work orders. Starting pay is $23.36 per hour, with benefits from Day 1 and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools to perform repairs.
• Ability to perform basic railcar repairs and inspections.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Demonstrates safety awareness and follow procedures.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Railcar Repair – follows current repair procedures and inspects cars for compliance.
• Customer Support – meets customer requirements to ensure satisfaction of work.
• Clerical – completes invoicing, inspection, and work order information.
• Maintains certifications and familiarity with AAR rules and regulations.
• Other work-related tasks as assigned.
