Amtrak in California seeks a skilled technician for inspection, testing and maintenance of wheels sets, brakes, brake pads, suspension and pneumatic systems on rolling stock in line with FRA and Amtrak standards.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairs of doors and interior equipment, and using test equipment to diagnose and fix faults. Must read mechanical drawings and have some computer skills; ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.

Formación

• Ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Some computer skills.

Responsabilidades

• Performs inspection, testing and maintenance per 49CFR and Amtrak standards.
• Troubleshoots equipment to identify causes of failures and corrective actions.
• Repairs doors, windows, interior equipment, brakes and other components.
• Uses test equipment to diagnose malfunctions and repair circuits.
