Job summary

Qualifications
- Welding experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with MIG or stick welding is a plus.
- Mechanical, fabrication or maintenance background preferred.
Responsibilities
- Inspect railcars for damage, wear, fatigue, and mechanical concerns.
- Identify components needing repair or replacement.
- Assist with basic railcar repairs and maintenance.
- Perform welding and fabrication work when qualified.
- Use welding equipment, grinders, cutting tools, and other hand or power tools.
- Inspect completed work for safety and quality.
- Prepare railcar interiors for loading.
- Report damage and safety concerns to management.
- Maintain tools and keep work areas safe.
