Job summary

Katahdin Railcar Services is seeking a Freight Car Repair Technician to inspect and repair railcars. The role involves welding repairs, working both inside and outside railcars, and performing duties in all weather conditions.

Candidates should have railroad experience and a welding certification is preferred. Other duties may arise as needed to support railcar maintenance operations.

Qualifications

• Railroad: 2 years of experience required.
• Welding Certification preferred.
• Experience inspecting and repairing railcars preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect railcars for defects and compliance.
• Perform welding repairs on railcars.
• Work inside and outside railcars as needed.
• Provide service in all weather and conditions.
• Accept other duties as required by the supervisor.
