Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold locomotive engineer and conductor certification.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of train crews.
• Receive oral or written instructions from Manager or Customer indicating which cars are to be switched.
• Notify train crew of switching orders and movements to specified yard locations; use radio, phone, signals.
• Manage cars online through various systems and reports.
• Ensure daily train lists and crew worksheets are accurate and timely.
