Job summary

Bunge Avondale, LA is seeking a Production Supervisor, Rail Operations to lead day-to-day rail yard activities and supervise a team of Distribution Technicians. You will partner with Production and Logistics to ensure safe, efficient rail movements and accurate billing for railcars.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in rail yard operations with supervisory experience, plus strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. SAP and MS Office experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in rail yard operations with supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; able to drive change.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day rail operations, including loading/unloading railcars.
• Coordinate with Production and Logistics to update daily schedules.
• Maintain communications with railroad; assist arrivals/departures of railcars.
• Ensure safe and efficient loading, unloading, and PGI processes for rail cars.
• Coordinate movement and staging of cars in the rail yard per shipping plans.
• Ensure rail car inspections and OneWeigh/SAP checks are completed.
• Document seals and input data into OneWeigh/SAP; verify billing accuracy.
• Assist in planning regular equipment maintenance to keep yard efficient.
