Martin Marietta Materials in Houston, TX seeks a Rail Supervisor to coordinate operations at Rail Yards. You will oversee preventative maintenance on mobile and plant equipment, supervise pre/post-shift inspections, and maintain maintenance logs. Travel between plants and district office is required.

The role demands leadership (2-3+ years), knowledge of rail/truck logistics, and strong customer service. You will drive safety culture, optimize rail loading/unloading, and manage freight billing

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of leadership experience preferably in similar field ( Aggregates , Rail )
• Background in Rail & Truck logistics and operations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee operations at Rail Yards assigned
• Oversee preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment
• Ensure staff performs daily pre/post-shift inspections and maintains maintenance log
• Promote safety and implement suggestions to improve safety culture
• Oversee rail transfers and deliveries to maximize customer service and minimize cost
• Act as liaison between logistics and sales personnel
• Identify opportunities to improve rail loading/unloading productivity
• Support rail fleet optimization and freight cost containment
• Manage information within the transportation management system
