Job summary

Conrad Yelvington Distributors, a CRH company, is seeking a general laborer to assist in unloading railcars and maintaining the terminal facility. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and flexibility to travel to other company sites as needed.

Responsibilities include following supervisor directions, using hand tools, operating landscaping equipment, and performing preventive maintenance in a dynamic rail environment while upholding OSHA/MSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Related experience in construction or physical labor is preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Follow directions from Lead Rail or Area Manager for daily tasks at each terminal site.
• Unload railcars and maintain terminal site using shovels, brooms and hand tools.
• Operate lawnmower, weed eater and other landscaping tools to maintain facility.
• Perform preventative maintenance on terminal equipment and machinery.
• May operate heavy equipment and/or company vehicles with proper training/certification.
• Complete CYD’s Conductor Certification program to achieve Rail Specialist Certification.
