Job summary

OmniTRAX, Inc. is seeking an Engineer/Conductor to oversee train movements, yard operations, and crew coordination. You will operate track switches, couple/uncouple cars, and position equipment to facilitate loading and unloading while adhering to railroad rules and FRA regulations.

You will communicate with dispatchers, read orders and timetables, and ensure safe, efficient rail operations with strong attention to safety, compliance, and teamwork in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of Train Services experience.
• Ability to pass post-offer exams including operating rules, vision and hearing tests.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow published rules, procedures, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with railroad rules and FRA safety/operational standards.
• Move trains safely in yards and on roadways.
• Operate throttle, brake controls, gauges and switches.
• Assist and instruct crews to couple/uncouple cars and perform minor repairs.
