Job summary

STV is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a rail vehicle programs background to join our Vehicles Department in Boston, MA. You will lead client-facing project activities and provide management oversight for complex procurement, testing, and delivery programs for transit cars, EMUs, DMUs, and coaches.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, at least 10 years of experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years in rail transportation or related programs.
• Experience managing rail vehicle procurement and fleet modernization.
• Strong schedules, budgets, risks, and client expectations management.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client contact and ensure service delivery.
• Lead rail vehicle procurement and fleet modernization projects.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams across engineers and suppliers.
• Prepare reports, minutes, and client deliverables.
• Mentor junior staff and grow STV Vehicles practice.
