Job summary

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority is seeking general labor workers to clean vehicles, prepare them for service, and observe/report unsafe conditions. This role includes shop/yard/office janitorial duties and proper waste disposal.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent.
• Must pass certification for operation of rail vehicles.
• Possess and maintain a valid New York State driver’s license as required by vehicle type.
• Must wear and utilize all required PPE.
• Participation in the Bloodborne Pathogen Program is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks including vehicle cleaning and janitorial work in shops/yards/offices.
• Collect, remove and dispose of waste materials properly.
• Work with speed and accuracy as directed by management.
• Accept instructions and assignments to qualify for other classifications.
• Develop knowledge of company policies relevant to the work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
