Job summary

Holland L.P. is seeking a Service Technician responsible for prepping, cleaning, inspecting, and performing minor repairs to railcars.

You will follow established procedures, remove residues, operate a service vehicle if required, and perform preventive maintenance while ensuring safety and quality. The role requires strong mechanical skills, the ability to interact with customers professionally, and adherence to all Holland safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some technical schooling preferred.
• Basic mechanical and tool knowledge.
• Certified Welder to AWS D15.0 preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• Experience prepping railcars preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to obtain Medical Card.
• Must complete Holland pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform railcar cleaning and inspections according to established procedure.
• Removal of residual commodities from walls, ceilings and floors of railcars with manual and/or automated tools.
• May be required to safely operate a Service Vehicle.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Maintain good housekeeping of equipment and site.
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and Blue Flag Rules.
• Participate in meeting objectives for safety, quality, and profitability.
• Assist in inventory of material and parts.
• Maintain strong and proper communication with customers.
• Continue to develop railcar cleaning knowledge and experience according to AAR/FRA and company guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
