Job summary

Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority seeks a Train Control Technician to perform and complete assigned work in the Train Control Department. You will maintain and repair track circuits, digital transmission and real-time control systems, and related carborne and wayside equipment.

Proficiency with oscilloscopes, DMMs, frequency meters, and diagnostic tools is required; a valid NY driver’s license is also needed. This role requires physical work and adherence to PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• Two years of formal training in advanced electrical/electronic theory.
• Pass the designated skills test for the position.
• Must pass certification for operation of rail vehicles.
• Must hold a valid NY Driver’s License for the vehicle type.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, perform and complete assigned work in the Train Control Department.
• Maintain and repair track circuits, transmission systems, and related controls.
• Use complex test equipment and document results.
• Perform additional duties as required.
