Are you an experienced Utilities Project Manager with a focus on gas infrastructure and a knack for successful coordination?


We are seeking a highly organized professional to manage the complex coordination of utility work, specifically for gas infrastructure, between our project teams, design builders, and third-party utilities. This critical role involves issue resolution, ensuring compliance, and maintaining positive relationships with all external partners.


What You'll Do


  • Coordinate all utility work between the Authority, Design Builder, PCM teams, and third-party utilities or railroads.

  • Develop, build, and maintain a positive and productive relationship with third-party utilities or railroads.

  • Work with the Authority, PCM, and the design builder to establish priorities, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with Authority goals and requirements.

  • Participate in utility and railroad issue resolution.

  • Prepare status reports, report on discovered utility/railroad issues, and develop and maintain a project tracking system/log for issues and resolutions.

  • Address the utility or railroad needs in a timely manner.

  • Attend meetings and review project documents.


What You'll Bring


  • Experience:

    • 7+ years of experience in the utility/railroad field.

    • Experience reviewing utility/railroad designs to ensure compliance with utility/railroad land rights and design standards.

    • Experience in developing and reviewing alternative route studies.



  • Skills & Abilities:

    • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), with the ability to speak knowledgeably with consultants, stakeholders, governmental agencies, and citizens.

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track large data sets, and illustrate, analyze, and convey those data sets effectively.

    • Ability to prepare technical correspondence and complete comprehensive reports, analyze situations accurately, and adopt an effective course of action.

    • Collaboration skills for meeting established project goals and objectives.

    • The ability to identify potential land rights conflicts that could create project delays.

    • A general understanding of land survey principles and the ability to read and plot legal descriptions.

    • The ability to maintain good communication skills and working relationships with third-party agencies, management, consultants, and contractors.



  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • A degree in engineering, business, or law is preferred.

    • Knowledge of utility relocation manuals (e.g., Caltrans) and relevant statutes (Federal and State).

    • Proficiency with computer software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Power BI, scheduling software, and SharePoint.
