Job summary

Alstom in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Training Manager to lead development and administration of training and quality programs for light rail operations. The role reports to the General Manager and focuses on regulatory compliance, safety, and workforce readiness.

The position oversees training personnel, curricula, testing, and records management, ensuring employees are trained and qualified. Collaboration with operations, safety, and regulatory bodies is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years in passenger railroad or rail transit operating environment.
• Experience managing staff and coordinating complex operations.
• Strong knowledge of FTA/ADOT regulations and APTA standards.
• Ability to develop training materials, curricula, and assessments.
• Experience leading a formal quality assurance program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve regulatory and operational training programs.
• Design curricula, lesson plans, examinations, and competency assessments.
• Ensure compliance with FTA, ADOT, OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate multimedia and e-learning approaches to training delivery.
• Lead quality management activities and internal audits; monitor compliance.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate training courses, instructors, and resources.
• Maintain training records and ensure timely recertification and retraining.
• Collaborate with operations, safety, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
