Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is seeking motivated individuals to join the Train Crew team. You will support the safe and timely movement of freight, with comprehensive training provided regardless of prior railroad experience.

In your first year, earnings around $80,000 with potential to exceed $100,000 after five years. The role requires flexibility, on-call duties, and willingness to travel away from home terminal. Medical, dental and vision coverage are included.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Clean driving record in past 36 months with no major incidents.
• Must pass an English assessment before interview.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment, locomotives, and rail cars to ensure safety.
• Perform tasks such as coupling equipment and operating remote control locomotives.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with crews and dispatchers.
• Observe and comply with safety rules and FRA regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.
