Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is seeking a Train Crew member to ensure safe, timely movement of freight. Training is provided, and advancement toward engine service is possible after gaining experience.

In the first year, earnings are around $80,000 annually with potential for higher pay at five years. Medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance are provided. This is a seniority-based role with location flexibility per business needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Clean driving record in the past 36 months.
• Must pass an English assessment before interview.
• No drug or alcohol-related driving incidents.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment, locomotives, and rail cars for safety.
• Couple equipment and operate remote control locomotives; manage hand brakes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with crews and dispatchers.
• Follow railroad safety rules and FRA regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.
