Job summary

Olsson’s Rail Traffic team is seeking a Project Engineer to blend traffic engineering with railroad coordination and project delivery. You will engage directly with clients, coordinate projects, and own delivery activities on projects involving Class I railroads, state DOTs, and local agencies.

You will contribute to traffic signal preemption design, grade crossing safety, and related services while expanding your technical and project-management skills through site visits and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 6+ years of traffic or transportation engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and support design and studies.
• Review and prepare plans and studies with the Rail Traffic team.
• Collaborate with teammates and clients on project delivery and coordination.
