Olsson is seeking a Project Engineer for our Rail Traffic team in the United States. You will help with traffic and preemption analysis, support plan reviews, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team on projects with railroads and state DOTs, traveling to job sites as needed.

The role emphasizes ownership of project delivery, client interaction, and developing skills in project management while advancing technical design capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 6+ years of traffic or transportation engineering experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Synchro, or similar software.
• Strong problem-solving and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with traffic and preemption analysis and design.
• Conduct site visits and contribute to review and preparation of plans or studies.
• Collaborate with team members on complex projects and client interactions.
• Travel to job sites for observations and meetings as needed.
