Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (G&W) is seeking a Track Inspector for our Kyle Railroad Company operations in Concordia, KS. You will inspect track structures, ensure compliance with FRA rules, and document deviations while coordinating with crews to maintain safe, reliable rail service.

The role demands attention to detail, safety orientation, and the ability to work in varying weather and shift schedules. A valid driver's license and at least 1 year of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred or obtainable.
• Pre-employment physical, drug testing, and background checks required.
• Must live within 50 miles of the location or relocate.

Responsibilities

• Inspect railroad track structure for compliance with policy and regulations.
• Detect deviations from federal/state regulations and document findings.
• Perform repairs or direct crews to correct track defects.
• Oversee production gangs and verify project compliance.
• Prepare inspection reports for management and regulatory agencies.
