Job summary

North American Rail Solutions is seeking a Foreman I to lead daily track maintenance and construction activities in Pensacola, FL. You will supervise field crews, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with project managers to keep work on schedule.

The role requires at least 5 years in railroad/track maintenance with 1 year in supervision, strong leadership, blueprint-reading ability, and FRA knowledge. Outdoor, outdoor weather exposure included.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years railroad/track maintenance experience with 1+ year in supervision.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and grade plans.
• Knowledge of FRA regulations.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications.
• Ability to operate safely outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily crew activities and safety briefings.
• Delegate tasks and assist with labor.
• Inspect work and ensure quality standards.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment safely.
• Perform basic repairs (gaging, rail swaps, switch components, tamping).
• Enforce PPE use and FRA compliance at sites.
• Coordinate with project managers to schedule work.
• Maintain reports, timesheets, and logs.
• Mentor crew members and promote safety.
• Respond to emergencies and document incidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
