Job summary

North American Rail Solutions (NARS) is seeking a Foreman I to lead daily track maintenance and construction in outdoor environments. The role oversees field crews, ensures safety and quality, and coordinates with project managers to deliver work on schedule.

The Foreman I will supervise tasks, monitor compliance with FRA regulations, and mentor junior staff while maintaining thorough project documentation and a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years railroad/track maintenance experience.
• 1+ year supervisory or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily crew activities and safety briefings.
• Delegate tasks and assist with labor.
• Inspect and quality-check completed work.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment safely.
• Maintain reports, timesheets, equipment logs and project documentation.
• Mentor crew and promote safety.
• Respond to emergencies and assist in incident reporting.
