Job summary

ConGlobal Industries LLC is hiring for a Railroad Switchman in Fort Worth, TX to support safe railcar movements and terminal operations. The role requires physical work outdoors, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to operate track switches with precision.

The position offers full-time hours, immediate start, and competitive pay with benefits. Training is provided, and candidates must pass pre-employment screenings and have a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of rail experience desired.
• Switching or conductor experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to always follow safety requirements and practices.
• Reliable, punctual and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs both off and on railcars.
• Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening.
• The Federal Rail Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations; if applicable, you will have to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate track switches to ensure proper alignment for railcar movement.
• Inspect track conditions and switch points to identify any issues affecting safe operation.
• Couple and uncouple air hoses between railcars as part of train assembly or disassembly.
• Replace damaged or broken railcar connectors (approximately 75 lbs).
• Communicate with train crews and yard personnel to ensure coordinated rail movements.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and potential hazards in a high-traffic rail environment.
